Darkmoon Faire Funnel Cake
Funnel cake - that disaster just waiting to happen as soon as the breeze picks up, sending powdered sugar flying everywhere. Or, wait, is that just me? Anyway, despite my misadventures, I love the stuff on the rare occasion I can get it.



Bolo de Ginguba Peanut Sponge Cake
Another recipe illustration, this time of bolo de ginguba, or peanut sponge cake, working from a photo. So ... sponge cake with peanut-butter flavor in it, covered in peanut butter frosting, with crushed peanuts on top. Or, in other words, something that probably isn't allowed within one mile of a modern public school in the United States, but ohhhhhhh so delicious. :9

Since the writer was using this as a stand-in for a "Zandalari" recipe, I had to add some sort of Zandalari cues to the dish (and ever-so-vaguely to the blurry background).



Dalaran Rhino Dog
Another illustration for a cooking recipe for fictitious food in a fictitious world -- in this case, a glamorized version of the "rhino dogs" from Dalaran during its time up in Northrend (during the Wrath of the Lich King expansion for World of Warcraft). This version is no mere hot dog on a bun, though, as it features a mustard sauce made with Dalaran wild mustard, as well as a bed of rice and beans, with bacon bits sprinkled on top for good measure. The flavor is maaaaaaagical!



Thalassian Ratatouille
No rats were harmed in the making of this ratatouille! Another recipe article illustration, this time of a Thalassian (Quel'Thalas) take on a "Darnassian" ratatouille recipe. (Figuring out where some of these recipes "come from" in a fantasy context is at times quite challenging, especially in a setting that has no neat equivalent to France, yet my character is often followed around by a robotic oven named "Pierre.")

Like, wow, the new expansion gets off to quite a downer! (Also, there are quite a few annoying "your character stands around uselessly while bad stuff happens" cut-scenes.)
