[Art & Warcraft Stuff] June 2023 Doodles

MUXN the Mix-Ox Mixer
MUXN the Mix-Ox, a "Kitchen Kritter" appliance/robot/pet created by a silly pink-haired gnome tinker (i.e., a character of Gwendel's) to help around the kitchen and just to be generally cute. Each one of those six horns has a mount for a blending pitcher, and it also has four egg-beater attachments on drive-cable "braids" that can be dipped into other containers that aren't horn-mount-compatible. Of course, it's best to actually SECURE the lids (as was apparently not done in the picture) before starting the blending process. Pictured, MUXN is pureeing some Pandaren striped melon (giant sample in background) for some frozen melon pops (completed samples pictured in foreground).

Flight of the DUCK-R-Es
A pink-haired gnomish tinker's fleet of duckling-shaped robots drops egg-shaped bombs on djaradin forces while defending a camp in the gigantic Zaralek Cavern. Quack attack!

Okay, I have a lot of fun portraying "zoomorphic" gnomish tech.

S-C4R-G0
A gnomish tinker test-drives her prototype snail-mobile, S-C4R-G0, as part of a snail race in Glimmerogg. So faithfully does it replicate the movement of the snails that despite all the engine-revving, smoke plumes, and the "squeal" of its wheels as it starts off, it doesn't actually go much faster than a regular racing snail (if at all). But it still manages an /amazing/ grip on the track, to make those high-speed ... er ... low-speed turns. Okay, so it's really far more cute than practical by any measure.

Adopt a Demon Goat?
For a while, the Diablo 4 crossover event on World of Warcraft has resulted in portals popping up in Stormwind every couple of hours or so, a "Treasure Goblin" running amok, and gathered adventurers pounding the living daylights out of him, only to complain when they get measly amounts of gold, dubious charms, or, roughly 28% of the time, a strange demonic-looking goat named Baa'lial. Oh, the first time I got it, I was excited to get another pet, but it's Unique, and Bind on Pickup -- save that you're allowed to trade with anyone else who tagged the Goblin in the last hour. Therefore, right after people start looting, there's generally a chorus of "Free pet, first to open trade window," "WTT goat for mount," "Have goat," and so forth. Poor, poor, unwanted hellspawn goats!

I imagined some animal shelter, no doubt being run by a nature-loving night elf druid, trying desperately to find homes for all these poor, adorable, unwanted demon goats.

Then I imagined them screaming like those stupid goats in a certain Marvel movie. Oh, the first time, it's hilarious. The second time, another laugh. The third? The fourth? Okay, this is getting old. The eighth time ... PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!

Ahem. Anyway, drawn for silliness.

Island Chicken and Rice
Glazed grilled chicken breast with grilled pineapple slices on a bed of yellow rice. (Okay, so when I actually make it, the pineapple slices generally come from a CAN, but here I have them "cut" as if manually done from a pineapple. Artistic license and all. XD )

A Triumphant Roar Echoes from Atop the ...
"A triumphant roar echoes from atop the Sea of the Aspects as Nasz'uro, the Unbound Legacy, is formed!" Why is it you hear this, at random intervals, absolutely ANYWHERE in the Warcraft universe? Well, my theory is that there's a dracthyr Cult of Nasz'uro (AKA the Nasz'uro Fan Club) with members standing around, shouting this phrase in unison whenever the mood strikes them.

One of the apparent “fans,” who declined to identify herself, but was wearing a pink smock emblazoned with the slogan “Nasz’ty Grrl,” seemed confused when asked about the phenomenon. “Who’s Nasz’uro?” she repeated back. “I have no idea! But isn’t that a fantastic name? And I am so into triumphant roars!”

Mana Experiment Gone Wrong
A spell-blade adventurer and her mouse buddy investigate a camp where a glowing blue lichen has taken over, and find "ground zero" in a cauldron. In an attempt to slow the unnatural growth, the explorer attempts to use her sword as a conduit to draw away the mana. Unfortunately, grasping tendrils of the enchanted lichen come after it!

In the RP scenario, the mouse didn't really do anything, but, hey, the PC had one as a vanity pet, so that gave me an excuse to draw it.

The Return of Tirnol and Sparky the Musicat
Sparky the Musicat (powered by CatGPT!) and his human guitarist Mr. Tirnol, performing at a tavern in Tol Barad. This is a follow-up to my earlier attempt at drawing this bardic duo. (In-game, the player uses a Fluxfire Feline vanity pet to represent his robot cat.)

Zandalari Chips and Guac Dip
Corn tortilla chips, guacamole dip, and some pottery with a bit of a Zandalari design to it. (If we're going to transplant Earth foods into Azeroth, then I suppose Zandalar is the best place for the tortilla chips to go.) Recipe article illustration.

Po'gnoll Sammich with Extra Mana-ise
The crazy gnoll chef makes a mana-infused "sammich" with a spicy remoulade from locally-sourced ingredients in the Azure Span, near the Azure Archives -- the perfect snack for the party's arcanist who skipped lunch, and just ran out of mana.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, I finally, FINALLY wrapped up some discrepancies with the insurance, so I could get reimbursed for the thousands I spent on storage units for all the stuff that was "packed-out" from my house (and then "packed-in" haphazardly again).
