Gone Fishing
Fishing, adventurer style.

Clams in Boralus
I experimented with trying to do a bit of scene-setting in the background, rather than just doing another plate of food on a nondescript table.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, we finally had an actual counter installed toward the end of the month (there were some delays) and got the sink and garbage disposal and such hooked back up (there were more delays).

But finally, we had a KITCHEN, and it had new cabinets, and in the course of having to rebuild everything ANYWAY, I arranged to have it rearranged a bit based on my experience using the old one. Basically, originally it dead-ended against one wall with the fridge squeezed into one corner, and the dishwasher into the other. I thought there was no point in having a blank wall at the end of the narrow squeeze, so I paid the difference to have more cabinetry installed, so it would be more of a "C" shape. This led to some weirdness with the corner cabinets, as they couldn't get units that would PERFECTLY line up, so there's some "dead space" hidden in the corners, and I actually had to do a little bit of carpentry on my own to fill some of the resulting gaps, before the countertops were added.

Ultimately, I think it paid off nicely. The dishwasher, fridge, and sink are all on the same side now, so there's no longer a plastic hose going ACROSS THE FLOOR between dishwasher and fridge (which was the design oddity that led to my house disaster in the first place). The fridge now occupies a space that was previously taken by some rickety scrap-built shelves that were there when we first moved in (and later replaced with a particle-board cabinet that ended up turning to mulch when the house flooded). So, the fridge and water dispenser are a LOT easier to access (especially for any guests, should we have any again).

I've been doing my best to organize the space, make sure everything has its proper place, and if something DOES NOT have a proper place, then perhaps we don't really need it, and after a proper cleaning we can just send it to the thrift store. We've also picked up a lot of thrift store items, and we joke that the kitchen decor theme is "Fallout: Oviedo." (Vaguely retro, with a bit of "farmhouse porcelain chicken" motif thrown in.)

Fishing in Iskaara
Light RP side-questy stuff in Iskaara, in the Dragon Isles. The little tuskarr character is an NPC who had some useful information, so in order to get it, we helped {the character} with a fishing quest. Him? Her? I have no idea on proper pronouns. (This particular GM has developed a habit of referring to practically EVERY character by they/them pronouns, even doing it with characters who were previously consistently referred to as "he" or "she," and sometimes doing it to PCs whose gender is pretty well established.)

Hmmm, some of the images aren't showing up-- only the first one did. Oops?

Thanks for fixing it!

Worgen baker, SO CUTE! ^.^

Do you actually eat clams? I've never worked up the courage to try shellfish, myself.

Glad to hear you've got your kitchen back, better than ever! I sympathize with the desire to make sure it stays clean and organized this time, once you've seen how tough things get when it's messy, it's good motivation to keep it clean.

Aww, Stardrop is adorbs and that stolen cookie looks delicious. :9 Love the composition of the clam-plate picture with the city backdrop through the window. The dwarf and the little walrus person are delightful too. Lovely batch!
