Glad to hear the anime followed through on its early promise! It does sound like a really cool piece. Reminds me of that City-of-Heroes-styled game you ran RL, too, where the characters were part of a video game that turned real. Was that called Avatars as well? IIRC you had online and tabletop games with a similar premise but not the same story line. And bizarrely I ended up knowing more about the tabletop one because you posted the write-ups for it on LJ and I played in some of them. :D
