Gwendel and I binge-watched it Monday and finished up the series. I'm in Texas again this week, so "Anime Night" had to be adjusted, and I ended up getting home from work on Monday a bit early. Overall, I'd say it was a good series, though there were plot points that felt very "magibabble-ish" (like the magical counterpart to technobabble) to the point where it was hard at times to figure out WHAT WAS GOING ON (or why), to the point where I wanted to shout at the screen, "You're not making anything clearer! Just MOVE ON already!" But that was a fairly minor point, in the big scheme of things.
There was one blatant "fan service" episode in the second season that felt like a rather jarring distraction from the "save-the-world" pace of the main storyline, but ... meh. Again, not enough to spoil the entire series.
I'd list all the things I LOVED about the series, but that would be too spoileriffic.
