Mojo-ito Cocktail
A cocktail with a troll twist (now with more mojo!) in a chilled glass at a little beachfront bar somewhere along the coast.

Dracthyr Negotiator
A dracthyr evoker, loyal to the dragonflights, attempts to reason with remnants of the Sundered Flame, hoping to find some common ground. (Illustration from an RP session, with the poor guy with no Charisma bonus basically having to act as the face/voice guy for the group when dealing with rebel dracthyr.)

The Return of the Dire Gus-Duck
This was a /weird/ RP session. Let's just say that the paladin was very persuasive and, through the power of the Holy Light (and fortuitous die rolls) was able to peacefully resolve an encounter with the dreaded Dire Gus-Duck. High-five! (Okay, high-five plus high-whatever-it-is-when-you've-got-a-wing.) All's well that ends well!

The whole "Gus-Duck" thing came about because some player (who had been active long before I had any involvement with the guild" had a paladin character name that was a derivative of "Augustus," and somehow this led to some sort of "Gus-Duck" joke, and they started hypothesizing about some holy duck creature with paladin powers. Then, lo and behold, someone has a Gus-Duck make a cameo in the background of an adventure, but people obsess over it, so it has to make a repeat appearance.

Hospitality Dance
A druid and fae dragon perform the "Hospitality Dance" in the Ruby Life Pools (while Steve the Lizard taps his tail to the beat). Scene from a silly RP session.

There's a cameo by Steve the Lizard off to the right. Stardrop the fae dragon was an NPC that stuck along with my bard after a long RP campaign.

Goblin Mech Pilot
Augmented goblin pilot of a stompy walker allied with the Venture Company, from a recent RP session. Alas, that the goblin didn't survive to make any repeat appearances. I thought it was an interesting character.

Anyway ... I regret to say that things kind of fell apart around here. There was some sort of drama wherein a player associated with one guild that sometimes contributed to the imaginary "Stormwind Daily" newspaper that I've been doing these doodles for made some very unpopular comments on a forum. I wasn't on the forum, didn't see the discussion, can't readily explain what happened, but it seemed to be an excuse for certain people to make all sorts of guilt-by-association accusations. Lady Rose ended up disassociating with this particular player and guild, but that wasn't good enough for a rival guildmaster who basically accused Lady Rose of SUPPORTING these unpopular statements (despite the ban), or at least not disavowing them quickly enough or strongly enough or whatever. Gwendel's guildmaster (who was friends with the "rival guildmaster") declared that the guild would no longer have any association with Lady Rose or anything she was a part of, including the Stormwind Daily "newspaper," for fear of being seen as sympathetic toward her. Or something. I was basically told that I could no longer "report" on the adventures of the guild for the paper, nor could I mention their existence.

I no longer had any reason to draw doodles to go along with adventure articles anymore, because the adventure articles wouldn't be written. I had actually started on another article and a doodle, but when the news came down, I stopped right there.

I still showed up to RP events for a while, but since Gwendel wasn't regularly attending, I'd kind of lost my raison d'etre in that regard. The whole thing was very awkward. But the bottom line was ... no more adventure article artwork. I still was supporting a writer who was churning out recipe articles every week, by drawing food for the recipes, and occasionally trying to add a detailed background. I figured it was good practice.
