Got Something On Your Nose There....
A gnomish tinker discovers a BUG on his nose, and freaks out!

Piperine vs. Giant Blood-Mogu Thing
Gwendel actually showed up to play in one of the adventure sessions, bringing Piperine (a gnome tinker who creates lots of mechano-pets). In a Mogu vault in Pandaria, the heroes had to fight a nasty monster that looked like a giant Mogu formed from (and healed by) a blood-like fluid flowing out of some storage tanks, so Pippy and her critter crew worked furiously to weld shut the spigots to stop the regenerative flow.

Taking Questions from Cats and Mages
An RP group held an in-game "convention" in Dalaran that was basically an opportunity for a few players to give "classes" on lore regarding various brands of magic in the game. The lore is so heavily retconned, and subject to WAY too many cooks, that the differences between arcane, fel, shadow/void, light, elemental, and any number of other flavors of magic are almost down to "preferred color of energy" in my book -- but I digress. I did a write-up of Mr. Snowsteel's presentation, and drew a picture of him and some of the cats in the audience who were taking part in the Q&A part of the session.

Klasik the Outcast, Noodle Maker
Another Om Nom Noodles portrait, and with this one, I've got all the current roster. No, you can't normally play a mantid in World of Warcraft, but there's a toy that lets you look like one for maybe 10 minutes, and there are certain tag-team shenanigans that players will take part in to keep the effect going for a while.

It involves "multi-boxing" or having a nearby cooperating player, and a script to fire off an ability to copy someone else's appearance to refresh the effect for a few more minutes. One mess-up, and you'd be stuck with the cooldown timer of 2 hours. Basically, it's only good for "events" where your character is more-or-less just going to STAND THERE most of the time -- but it's still entertaining when someone pulls it off and you have to do a double-take when you see a friendly Vulpera or Mantid or Naga or {insert random normally-unplayable race} at an event and actually interacting with you.

Draenei Lorewalker in Her Kul-Tiran Library
Portrait of a PC in Gwendel's RP guild. She's ostensibly a "lorewalker" and writer, so I tried interviewing her about her book. Of course, the book doesn't actually exist in any sense, but I was hoping she'd be able to at least give some broad characterizations and make up some quotes. In the course of trying to help her think of things to say about her own imaginary book, this ended up snowballing into a project to make a "book" using the TRP 3 Extended add-on -- i.e., a "book" that can be traded between players, with multiple pages, and icons/images for decoration, to represent the book as an RP item (with pages that basically summarize entire chapters). That took way longer than I should have spent on a silly thing like that, but at least I got to familiarize myself with "book-making" using that add-on.

Bug Hunt
Another portrait of another PC in an adventure involving fighting these bug-things that had taken over a Gnomish facility, as a result of an experiment gone horribly right. (I'd say "wrong," but that would be giving too much credit to the mad tinker responsible.)

Teamwork Makes Screamwork
During the battle against the bugaboos taking over the Gnomish facility, the shaman teamed up with the Gnome war-cleric and conjured up a big rocky hand to THROW her at the Big Bad, to get past a defensive line of mini-minions and acid pools.

Patiently Awaiting Rescue
Meanwhile, the mad tinker Gnome who'd called everyone in basically sat back in his "safe room" and watched the mayhem unfold while waiting for everyone to make their way in.

Entalinval's Alchemy Shop
This is actually from a pencil sketch I drew back in 2019 of Gwendel's paladin, Entalinval, who also happens to be an engineer and alchemist. Behold: the Holy Hand Grenade! (And then, behind him, a bunch of other creations.)

Golnon's Birthday Surprise, Part 1
The player of "Golnon" the berserker dwarf had a birthday, and folks decided it was his main character's birthday, too. So we talked about what would be appropriate to get for him for a birthday cake, since he really doesn't care for sweets....

Golnon's Birthday Surprise, Part 2
... so, we came up with an idea to make a birthday cake ... OUT OF MEAT! Topped with more meat! And cheese! And BACON! And stuffed with more meat! And RINGED with meatballs at the bottom! Oh, and how about sausages instead of candles? Not quite sure how that'd work, but hey! Maybe we could use blasting fuses? But then maybe Golnon would think the cake was going to explode? But then it occurred to us that he might actually think that would be kind of cool. "Plus, the idea of being showered in chunks of meat would be about like every other boss monster fight he wins." So that led to ...

Golnon's Birthday Surprise, Part 3
... the MEAT PIÑATA. It's an effigy made to look like a goofball version of R'as the Infinite, our recurring (immortal) c'thrax arch-nemesis, but with sausage links for tentacles, and stuffed with meat. A bunch of Golnon's buddies from the Arisen of Aggramar are cheering him on, along with Steve the Lizard (sporting his new "I Survived the Keelhauler" shirt).

Stormwind Guard Recruitment Booth
A Kaldorei (Night Elf) officer at a recruitment booth for the Stormwind Guard (player RP guild) at the Stormwind Job Fair (basically a big get-together for people to tout the advantages of joining their guilds).

The Market Herbalist
A seller of herbal and Light-blessed remedies at the Stormwind Market.

The Relic Merchant
A Gnomish seller of fossils and minor relics at a market in the Ramkahen city of Mar'at in Uldum.

The Stormwind Weekly Fireworks Show
A few players get together and set off in-game fireworks for about 20 minutes every Wednesday night in the park in Stormwind, and I decided to do this doodle to commemorate the event. (Plus, it was an excuse to draw a zhevra. I remember wishing so badly back in early "vanilla" World of Warcraft that I could get one as a riding mount. Now you can get one as a hunter pet or mount. I guess I could have a little zhevra herd if I really cared to play a hunter. :D )

The Stormwind Assembly
Portrait of a bunch of PCs standing around pretending to take part in a governmental body representing different parts of Greater Stormwind in the Alliance, using Northshire Abbey as a proxy for a room in "Stormwind Keep." I tried to work in portraits of actual players, but it was a bit of a challenge, as I was racing to get this done BEFORE the actual gathering, and only had a list of their IC names (which didn't necessarily match up with their game character names), and some incomplete descriptions. Some of them were at least recognizable to the players in question, so I'd consider it a win.

The PIErate Crew
Pet sidekicks for the "Dessert Island" booth: P13-RR3 the portable grill on the left, Feathers the mechanical parrot in the center, and Steve the Lizard-Thing on the right (with a menu).

Shayaphi the Vulpera Acrobat
Shayaphi, a happy bouncy Vulpera in a sprite darter costume, who bounded around the Uldum Bazaar event, putting down colored smoke markers that helped to delineate the vendor area, and provide a guide for arriving players to find the area. Thanks to the "Elixir of Tongues," I was able to "interview" Shayaphi somewhat for the article.

Commander Snips and Crew
Commander Snips, fearsome and fuzzy Vulpera captain of the Rusty Bucket, with her ogre minion Ham-Hocks, and pirate crew. Adversaries for a ship-borne adventure RP session.

Ker-POW!
A Thalassian arcano-scientist (new PC in the group) helps fend off an attack by boarders from the Rusty Bucket with a blast from her magi-tech prosthetic left arm.

MOAR BOOLETS!
Crewman Eggs (initially just an inconsequential NPC, but the GM had to hastily give him a name when he became "important") helps out by manning the Broadcider while everyone else was too busy. Despite having NO bonus at all in ranged combat, and missing most of the shots, during the last round (when the ammo was about to run out), he scored some lucky hits and managed to "kill-steal" the fight against the kraken that a mad Tidesage (in league with the pirates) had conjured up to battle the ship.

The junk in the background was because this gnollish device doesn't fire actual ammunition, but somehow propels whatever junk you can cram into the hoppers. The galley had been shredded by the incoming grapeshot volleys, along with the Broadcider's ammo store, so basically it was being loaded with spilled leftovers, broken wood and glass, battered pans, and anything else that could be piled in.

Faerie Fire(works)
A Kaldorei Demon-Hunter/Bard plays the sitar underneath the displays of the Stormwind Weekly Fireworks Show.

Bean the Pyro Pug
A happy little pug (pet of Mr. Flintbrew the fireworks expert) bounces along with a sparkler. (Gwendel likes pugs, so I HAD to draw this little fellow.)

Moonkin Pie!
Just a quick little joke-doodle I drew for a new addition to the "Dessert Island" menu: a couple of chocolate-dipped cookie wafers with a Dustwallow marshmallow-filled cream center, with a cartoony moonkin depicted in icing on top. It's a MOONKIN PIE!

BUNNEH.
Quicky doodle drawn while playing around with different brushes in Photoshop. It's a little bunny nibbling on a strawberry. (It was done as a joke. Someone posted a picture on a thread of a bunny nibbling on a strawberry. One of the new players said, "This is me!" So since that player had been going on about wanting a character portrait, I took that "literally," and drew a mini-bunny with some freckles and a little flower behind one ear, in reference to the player-character. I'll do a proper portrait later....)
